Speech pathologists moving to Australia
Speech pathologists aren't registered with Ahpra. Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) assesses you instead. If you trained and are fully certified in the UK, Ireland, the USA or New Zealand, have 1,000 hours of work in the last five years and a letter of good standing, the Mutual Recognition Agreement is the short route. Everyone else uses SPA's competency assessment.
General information only, not migration or legal advice. Visa advice should come from a registered migration agent (we work alongside them). Registration decisions are made by Ahpra and the professional bodies, not by us. Fees and rules change: check the linked official source before you rely on a figure.
